Q. What are your fees?

A. We charge 6.5% of insurance collections. We do not charge for patient copays or deductibles.  

Q. Are reimbursements sent to my office? 

A. Yes, all reimbursements are sent directly to your office. 

Q. Can I maintain control over my billing processes?

A. Yes, you maintain complete control of your billing processes.

Q. Is there a practice set up fee?

A. No, set up is free.

Q. Do I have to purchase software?

A. No, there is no software to purchase. 

Q. How do I send information to Billing Maximizers?

A. We accept fax and email. 

Q. Is my patient's data safe when outsourcing medical billing?

A. Yes. We prioritize patient data security and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Q. What information is required to get started with Billing Maximizers?

A. Provider information found on a HCFA 1500 form, Patient DEMOS and Insurance information and your fee schedule.

 

Q. How long does it take to get started with Billing Maximizers? 

A. Two to Three weeks.

​​​​Q. What is the typical turnaround time for claim submission and              reimbursement?

A. It typically takes two weeks for major medical claims and Federal workers compensation claims. Texas workers compensation claims and Personal Injury claims usually take longer. 

Q. ​​What happens if a claim is denied or disputed?  

A. We handle claim denials and disputes on your behalf. We follow up with insurance companies, provide additional documentation, and appeal denied claims when necessary.

 

​Q. Is there a minimum contract requirement for medical billing services? 

A. No. We do not require a contract.
